Galaxy Note 7 was the biggest mistake of Samsung. The company faced a lot of criticism due to Note 7 battery issue. The device used to catch fire while charging and in few cases, it exploded as well.
The issues were raised to such an extent that Note 7 was banned at many places including airports. To prevent the name from further degradation, Samsung recalled the devices and stopped the production. Later company announced that it will safely dispose all the phones.
However, this didn’t get well with environmentalists and pressure was on Samsung to dispose the devices as well as protect the environment. So, to overcome this Samsung decided that it will sell the refurbished devices with a safer battery ensuring that nature is not harmed.
This is a nice move by Samsung as it has already faced a huge loss due to Note 7 and it certainly don’t want to increase the heat by disposing it in open affecting the mother nature.
In this way, Samsung will not only recover a small portion of loss but will also be applauded by the world to conserve the environment. It should be noted that Samsung has to take care of close to 4 million Note 7 which were called back after the fire incident started taking place all across the globe.
