Pictures of a huge smartphone have started to appear all over the internet. People are allegedly stating that it is the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and some are saying that it is the Note 8, we do know for sure.
But what we do know from the leaks and the rumors is that there will be a second flagship released, that is the Note 8 alongside the S8. Slashleak published a image with the caption Galaxy Note 8, given below.
The leaked images seem to provide some decent information. For instance, the device has the largest screen in the history of Samsung phones, which is a ~6.2-inches.
On top of that, the bezels are very thin with no physical home button. Recently we heard rumors that the iPhone 8 and 8S Plus will have no physical buttons and here we have a Galaxy smartphone with the same design and concept, coincidence ?
The new device is shown to run an application called Bixby, a voice assistant like Cortana, Siri, and Google Voice on which, Samsung had been working for the past few days.
It seems to be a new feature in Samsung’s future smartphones. However, the Korean company commented that the assistant isn’t perfected yet, and will only run with a few selected stock apps within the device. They have a plan to expand the number of apps it will be compatible with in the future and said that they are currently working on it.
Regarding the specifications of the Note 8, it’s all in the air, but nothing is yet confirmed.
Since Samsung said it going to be another new flagship, people are speculating that it will have the latest hardware and software available in the market, as of now, which will be the Snapdragon 835, Adreno 540, a 4K screen, Android 7.1 Nougat and the dual rear cameras.
However, by the time the device is released, Samsung might some other new and far more advanced technology to increase the value of their flagship ion the present market.
Also, multiple sources have stated that Samsung is looking to play safe this year around and Samsung galaxy note 8 might release in second half of 2017 . They will not be going into mass production. Rather, they will be releasing a batch of smartphones in the market, look at the performance and the feedback from the community and act accordingly.
With the setback from the Note 7, the Korean company cannot afford to face another loss of such a huge scale. Their strategy is justified and will help them to better cope with any situations that might arise in the future, regarding any complexities or problems with the Note 8.
Samsung admits that they have done some mistakes with the S8 and has the intention of patching them up in the Note 8. Thus, the company has the intention of killing two birds with one stone. By launching the Note 8 not only do they manage to make the Note series stand on their feet again, but they can also fix the shortcomings that they made in the S8.
